THE CONFESSIONAL (2018)
In the current shifting creative industry, social relevance in projects and working with other people is more than ever needed and playing an important role. Studio Frictie had the oppurtunity to be part of the minor Social Design at Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht.
We got to discover Social Design, working with ‘refugees’, designstudios and the integration of social connections within the making process. We found out that we were playing a part of the problem we stumbled upon. Through being honest towards ourselves and the people we were working with, we got something new in return; Being vulnerable and honest together creating connection and trust. Studio Frictie wanted to create a trustful and anonymous space in which we could create the opportunity to talk about our vulnerability, mistakes and taboos. We like to speculate about these, less talked about, important parts of the making process, playing a positive part in the presentation of the creative industry.Thanks to Makers Unite & The beach for creative innovation
